Emily Tredrea – Psychologist

Areas of Expertise and Interest
Emily is a Psychologist and has completed a Masters Degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology at QUT. Emily is experienced in working within clinical settings assisting people with their psychological health.
Her training has also had a particular focus on working with children and families with a variety of concerns, and also in working within the educational setting. Emily has an integrated approach when working with young people, ensuring their best care.
Emily has specific training and experience in using a variety of assessment tools and identifying learning related difficulties. She has completed the circle of security training, is also accredited in both the RAP-A and RAP-P group programs. She has delivered multiple group programs in areas such as social skills and emotion regulation for children. Her special interest is in working with children and adolescents, but she also enjoys working with adults. Having children of her own, Emily is also passionate about supporting parents with the many challenges that present in preparing for and raising children.
Her approach is primarily applied developmental, with a strength focus that considers all areas of an individual’s experience and history. Emily places great value on applying sound, evidence-based concepts and techniques in her practice including CBT, mindfulness, and attachment based therapy. She also has a special interest in interpersonal neurobiology.
Emily is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and Medicare to provide psychological services. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and College of Educational Developmental Psychology (CEDP).
